The Indonesian Heritage Society Library

The Indonesian Heritage Society’s Library collection includes more than 6,000 books, pamphlets, magazines and slides on Indonesia and Southeast Asia generally. These are available on loan as a support for our study group activities or personal research. We have an online database for you to search and view our books that will entice you to come and visit our library. For our international community, there are approximately 1,000 documents in English, French, Bahasa Indonesia, Spanish, German, Dutch, Korean and a special section in Japanese. The library is very much a HUB hub for our Society members. Meetings are regularly held there by:
  • Explorers and Study Groups – research and plan their travels.
  • Study Group participants and Museum Tour Guides – select slides and work on their presentations.
  • Other Friends – browse or check out the latest additions to our shelves, or to work on Publications

Want to help?

We encourage registered Friends to keep the library open and functioning by volunteering for library duties. No previous experience is needed and a short training session is provided. We initially try to pair new volunteers with our more experienced ones. Contact library@heritagejkt.org or info@heritagejkt.org for more information.
